How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!
Psalm 133:1
4 years ago I traveled across the sea with a group of men and women ready to be the HANDS AND FEET OF JESUS! Doctors, farmers, firemen, computer technicians, worship leaders, students, pastors, artists….
We spent our days on mission.
Walking streets.
Holding babies.
Building foundations.
In these moments I realized how Love is the universal language. I knew this to be true, but to experience it made the difference for me.
I learned many valuable lessons on that trip to Haiti. Lessons that forever changed my life. I came home with an awareness of the world around me and how we all need Jesus. I was charged to love more.
Unconditionally.
Whole-heartedly.
Deeply.
The honest truth is- before that trip I had lived in a bubble. I liked my bubble. it was comfortable, familiar, even beautiful. I worked hard to keep it that way. Maybe I’m not alone in this….
On Day 20, our halfway point and I’m thinking about all the ways we can LOVE THE WORLD AROUND US & step outside of what’s familiar.
Be the Body of Christ.
Be it in our homes, schools, workplaces, communities… Wherever we are is a good place to start. — Carly
