Weekend Wrap Up

This past week at The Pearl we wanted to offer a space to wait out the winter—together. It’s easy to feel lonely this time of year. Even in a house full of people.

We began the week by honoring Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s life & service by remembering his words…

“Love is creative and redemptive. Love builds up & unites…the aftermath of the love method is reconciliation and creation of the beloved community.”

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

THIS IS OUR HEART.

BELOVED COMMUNITY.

All week long the topic of courage kept rising up. Courage to make space for community. Courage to rest in the middle of our fear—to be brave like the woman who fought her way through the crowds to get to Jesus in Matthew 9.

To hold on.

To steady on.

❄️💙❄️ Take Courage

But Jesus turning and seeing her said, “Daughter, take courage; your faith has made you well.” At once the woman was made well. Matthew 9:22

❄️💙❄️ Wintering Brave

“Love God, all you saints; God takes care of all who stay close to him…
Be brave. Be strong. Don’t give up.”
Psalm 31 MSG

❄️💙❄️ Steady On, Love.

“Within your heart you can make plans for your future, but the Lord chooses the steps you take to get there.”
‭‭—Proverbs‬ ‭16:9‬ ‭The Passion Translation

Find a Spotify playlist here @ https://thepearlcommunity.com/links/ —we’ve created this to share songs that inspire our hearts throughout the week. We’ll add to the playlist every Saturday.

We’d love to hear from you. We want to share all the things & hear your stories too. That’s what Sisterhood Community is all about!

❄️💙❄️ Community Conversation: What’s giving you the courage to face the days of winter? Let us know in the comments.
